Have you ever read your toothpaste tube?  It's some pretty intense reading I'll admit.  Why can't you swallow it?  Did you know that even if you don't swallow it you are still absorbing a large amout of harmful chemicals?  Under the tongue is an area referred to as "sublingual".  If you are having a heart attack you will be given a nitro pill there as this is one of the fastest rates of absorption.  Flouride is an extremely controversial ingredient and has been a direct link to numerous health problems including joint pain, kidney disease, thyroid dysfunction, immune dysfunction, stomach irritation, bone disease, allergies, reproductive problems, and respiratory problems to name a few.  As always- don't take my word for it- do your OWN research- let me know what you come up with.
